These are a few of many projects in which I did—well—everything. (Design, programming, strategy, writing, illustration, etc.) I’ve excluded projects done by talent-filled teams I’ve had the privilege of leading as a Creative Director at design, advertising, and interactive agencies.

These are a few of many projects in which I personally did—well—everything. (I’ve excluded projects done by talent-filled teams I’ve had the privilege of leading and working with at agencies.)

Let me introduce myself.   I craft effective branding, engaging marketing communications, and the strategies on which both are solidly founded. By helping companies formulate and convey their messages in a more compelling manner, I’ve helped turn small businesses into big companies, and big companies into huge ones. And I always start by listening.

As both an independent consultant and Creative Director at agencies in New York and Toronto, I’ve built up a great deal of experience. I’ve researched and formulated effective brand and marketing strategies, crafted the brand identities of a great many companies and products, designed and programmed innovative websites, devised effective advertising in a range of media, written vast quantities of ad and marketing copy, created computer-generated illustrations and videos—and a fair bit more.

I also have a parallel background in science and technology, which makes me right at home in the tech sector. It also enhances my ability to apply rigorous research and analytical methods to the realization of practical results.

You will meet few designers with his analytical skills and strategic acumen; conversely, you will meet few strategists with his creativity and visual communications skills. You are also very unlikely to meet someone who can infuse all that with an equally impressive command of science and technology. This right brain/left brain combination of verbal and visual, analytic and synthetic, and qualitative and quantitative intelligence makes David as rare as a waterfall in the desert.
